This is Not Safe For Mom Group’s  list of go-to resources for supporting Black Maternal Health in our effort to learn more about racism’s deadly toll on Black mothers. Click on the links below to learn more about medical racism, the organizations working to fight it, and the spaces, individuals and places leading the charge towards healing these deep wounds . This list is a work-in-progress, and there are undoubtedly plenty of other websites and platforms who have created more exhaustive lists. But if you’ve landed here, it is a decent place to start.

Sister Song – Their mission is to strengthen and amplify the collective voices of indigenous women and women of color to achieve reproductive justice by eradicating reproductive oppression and securing human rights

Black Birth Experience – 501C3 non profit reflecting the #BlackBirthExperience honoring Black Birth Workers and empowering the Black Birth Community

4Kira4Moms – Funded with the mission to advocate for improved maternal health policies and regulations, to educate the public about the impact of maternal mortality in communities, provide peer support to the victim’s family, friends
